“Best shop in Zanzibar”

We were very lucky and were told about this great shop by friends of ours who had come through Zanzibar a few weeks earlier. It is definitely worth a visit and should be more widely known about. They have coins from all over the world, plus some interesting older ones (I picked up a German East Africa coin from 1890) that are cut extremely finely to highlight the motif. Looks great as a pendant and is a really unique present.
In the short time we were looking through the shop we saw four other tourists come in and all left with one of the coins. Go check it out.

I have visited the Coins Shop in Stone Town / Zanzibar on many occasions. Sissy and all the staff are the friendliest, most helpful people on the planet and nothing is too much trouble. The coins are in abundance, stunning, and you will find coins from the very old to the very new. There is something for everyone.
