The springbok is a small, horned antelope native to s Africa.
It is the national emblem of South Africa.
The reddish-brown colour on the back, shades into a dark horizontal band just above the white underside.
Height: to 90cm (3ft) at the shoulder.
Family Bovidae; species Antidorcas marsupialis.
